Our Patient Council works to improve the patient experience at Hermitage Clinic and make sure that all patient views are heard.

The Hermitage Clinic Patient Council is an independent group of patients, former patients and staff. The group's mission is to help continually improve the patient experience and help ensure that a patient's voice is always heard.

By aligning with clinical areas and participating in patient engagement activities, the group helps contribute to improvements in the experience of our patients.

Members of the Patient Council aim to meet 4 times a year. During these meetings, the group discuss any items that patients and visitors have raised. They then propose suggestions and recommendations on how we can address the topics raised.

The Patient Council engages with Hermitage Clinic in a number of ways. This includes:

  • attending patient focus groups
  • reviewing written material, including patient experience policies
  • participating in quality improvement projects
  • issuing patient newsletters about changes and improvements
