Dr McCarthy completed her primary degree in Applied Psychology at University College Cork, followed by her post-graduate training in Neuropsychology at the University of Wales, Swansea.
Fellowship training
Her doctoral research on neurospcyhological aspects of multiple sclerosis was completed at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability and her PhD was awarded by University College London.
