Graduated from RCSI in 1994 with a masters of science, obtained a PhD from Trinity College Dublin in 2002. Prof Maree has a diploma in interventional cardiology from Harvard in 2006.
He also obtained a diploma in vascular medicine and Intervention from Harvard in 2007.
He is a past director of endovascular and structural heart disease programme at Boston University Medical Centre in 2007-09 and assistant professor of medicine at Boston University in 2007-09.
Clinical research
Professor Andrew Maree has conducted clinical research into acute coronary syndromes, structural heart disease and platelet biology.
