Professor Gallagher graduated from University College Dublin and trained on the Irish Specialist Registrar Scheme in medical oncology.
Clinical research
Professor Gallagher remains actively involved in cancer research and has retained a number of research collaborations in North America in addition to establishing new collaborations with colleagues in Dublin and the UK.
Fellowship training
ISMO Fellowship to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in 2006. Completed training in both Medical Oncology and Medical Genetics between Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, and New York Presbyterian Cornell University Hospital.
