Nominate your nurse for an internationally-recognised award in nursing excellence.
The DAISY Foundation™ was set up in 1999 by the family of Patrick Barnes. Patrick was 33 when he died of complications from ITP, an autoimmune disease.
Like many who go through this kind of loss, Patrick's family wanted to do something to honour the special man he was. After Patrick's death, they launched The Diseases Attacking the Immune System (DAISY) Foundation.
The DAISY Foundation™ was set up to recognise the skill and compassion of the nurses who treated Patrick during his illness.
The foundation is now committed to celebrating nurses around the world. The annual DAISY Award® recognises nurses who have made a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
If a Hermitage Clinic nurse has provided you or a loved one with excellent care and you would like to say thank you, nominate them for a DAISY Award®.
The winning nurse will receive and a bound copy of their nomination and a sculpture, depicting the nurse-patient relationship. All nominated nurses will receive a DAISY pin.
Celebrate extraordinary nursing. Fill in your DAISY Award® nomination via the online form or pick up a form at Hermitage Clinic.
