People and culture

Our greatest strength lies with our people. We have an inclusive culture and value team diversity.

We believe in a team approach where the patient is at the centre of everything we do.

We trust our colleagues to work together and in a way that best suits them. That's why we offer flexible working across our nursing, clinical and support functions where possible.

Professional development

Learning and development is a key part of our culture. We're committed to ensuring all our colleagues reach their potential.

Our Clinical Nurse Facilitators provide education, training and mentorship, and support ongoing professional development. We also provide external specialist training where needed.

We have an open-door policy to enable constant communication between managers and all employees. We believe consistent feedback enables continuous improvement for everyone.

Our colleagues at Hermitage Clinic have the chance to work with leading medical professionals. As we continue to expand, we're able to provide promotional opportunities and lateral moves to colleagues looking to expand their skillset or move to the next level.

Our clinic is affiliated with RCSI, Trinity College, Dublin City University, and Dundalk Institute of Technology. We provide clinical placements for medical and nursing students from various colleges.

Foundation course in perioperative nursing

We provide a perioperative foundation course for nurses interested in a career in Theatre or Endoscopy.

This is a 6 month course, combining theory and competencies in perioperative nursing.

Participants are assigned to all Theatre specialities and have a dedicated Clinical Facilitator to guide them through the programme.

On completion, participants are offered staff nurse roles in Theatre or Endoscopy.
