Your care and comfort is our top priority. To prepare for your or your child's visit, there are a few things that are helpful to know.

Your arrival

When you arrive at the Hermitage Clinic, go to our reception desk in the main entrance hall.

We'll then direct you to the Admissions Office. Here, you'll need to:

  • present any referral letters provided by your GP or consultant
  • confirm any health insurance information
  • confirm your personal details

Access for people with a disability

We provide disabled parking for patients and visitors. If you need any assistance, call our main reception and we'll be sure to help.

We have 4 wheelchair-accessible lifts. There are 2 in the ward and day ward areas and 2 near the consultant suites, emergency department and medical oncology day ward.

Please contact us if you have any special requirements and we'll do whatever we can to help.

Health insurance

Before admission, please check with your insurance company that your policy covers you for accommodation and the treatment you require.

Patients are liable at the time of admission for any charges not covered by their insurance.

Consent

If you're having a procedure, you'll need to sign a consent form. If a child is having a procedure, a legal guardian must sign this form.

We encourage all patients to participate in their care plan. We'll always give you time to ask questions and discuss the proposed treatment with your consultant.

Children

If a child is being admitted to Hermitage Clinic, a parent or guardian will need to be with them for the duration of their stay.

We always encourage children to bring one or two favourite toys, books or games.
