At Hermitage Clinic, we have a dedicated orthopaedic and spinal ward as well as specialist theatres, advanced technologies and robotic surgical platforms.

From the time of your arrival until your discharge from the clinic, our multidisciplinary team work together to make sure you get the best treatment and care possible.

What to expect

Once you've agreed on a treatment plan with your consultant, you'll have a preoperative health assessment to check you're in the best possible health for your procedure. You'll also be able to ask any questions you have.

On the morning of your procedure, you'll be shown to our Day of Surgery Admission Unit (DOSA). Here, staff will prepare you for surgery and make sure this is a quick and comfortable as possible. 

Procedures

Our orthopaedic consultant team specialises in upper and lower limb surgeries that help relieve pain, treat disease and repair bones and joints.  Our team also carries out minimally invasive joint replacement surgery using an enhanced recovery program. 

Procedures available include:

  • spinal surgery
  • total hip replacement 
  • total knee replacement
  • shoulder replacement
  • rotator cuff repair
  • arthroscopies (keyhole joint surgery)
  • ORIF (open reduction internal fixation) to repair broken bones or serious fractures
  • osteotomy (where bones are cut or reshaped to repair a joint)
  • metatarsal joint replacements
  • synovectomy (removal of joint tissue to ease pain)


Our specialist orthopaedic surgical team conducts thousands of procedures every year. Hermitage Clinic theatres are equipped with the best technology available in robotic, navigation, imaging and sterile environment systems.

If you need surgery and we can treat you on a day case basis, our team will care for you on our dedicated day ward.

Payment

If you do not have health insurance or your health plan does not cover the full cost, you will need to pay on the day of your visit.

You might be able to claim fees on your insurance.

If you need to submit an insurance excess or pay inpatient fees after a stay at the Hermitage Clinic, you can pay your bill online.
